LoopStream Tech With M

Privacy Policy

Your video stays in your publishing path.

This Privacy Policy explains how the LoopStream Android application, developed by Tech With M, accesses and handles information when you publish a locally selected video to YouTube or Twitch.

Effective and last updated: August 27, 2026

1. About LoopStream

LoopStream lets you select a compatible video stored on your device and publish it to YouTube or Twitch using a stream key that you provide. The app does not require a LoopStream account.

2. Information the app accesses

  • Selected video and media information: LoopStream accesses only the video you choose through Android's system file picker. It reads the file and technical details such as its name, duration, dimensions, codecs, frame rate, and audio format to check compatibility and prepare the stream.
  • Stream key: You enter a YouTube or Twitch stream key so the selected platform can identify and accept your stream. LoopStream uses the key only to establish the publishing connection that you request.
  • Local app state: The app stores limited settings on your device, such as whether onboarding or platform instructions have been completed. During a publishing session, it may temporarily retain the selected platform, file name, playback mode, duration, and session timing so it can explain if Android interrupted the stream.
  • Network status: LoopStream checks whether a network connection is available so it can connect, publish, and report connection problems.

3. How video and stream keys are handled

Video decoding and encoding take place locally on your device. The encoded audio and video are sent directly from your device to the YouTube or Twitch ingest service you selected. Tech With M does not receive, host, relay, or store your source video or broadcast.

Publishing connections use RTMPS, which encrypts data in transit. Your stream key is included only in the direct connection to the selected platform. If you enable Remember this key, the key is encrypted with AES-GCM using a key protected by Android Keystore and stored only on your device. If you do not enable that option, LoopStream does not retain the key after it is no longer needed for the session.

4. Permissions and device access

LoopStream may use the following Android capabilities:

  • Internet and network status: to connect directly to YouTube or Twitch and report connectivity.
  • Notifications and foreground service: to keep an active, user-initiated publishing session visible and provide a Stop action while the app is in the background.
  • Wake lock: to reduce the chance that Android pauses the device during an active stream.
  • Selected-file access: to read only the video you explicitly choose through the Android system picker.

LoopStream does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or all files on your device.

5. Collection, advertising, and analytics

Tech With M does not collect your video, stream key, account details, device identifiers, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or crash reports through LoopStream. The app contains no advertising and does not sell personal or sensitive information.

6. Third-party platforms

When you start publishing, you direct LoopStream to transmit the stream to YouTube or Twitch. Those services may process your stream, account information, IP address, and related technical information under their own terms, channel settings, and privacy policies. Tech With M does not control their processing or retention practices.

LoopStream is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by YouTube, Google, Twitch, or Amazon.

7. Data retention and deletion

  • LoopStream does not make a developer-controlled cloud copy of your selected video. Copies or recordings retained by YouTube or Twitch are controlled through your account and the selected platform's settings.
  • A remembered stream key remains encrypted on your device until you disable remembering it for that platform, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. You can also reset or revoke the key from the relevant platform dashboard.
  • Local preferences and temporary session information remain only as needed for the app's operation and are removed when you clear the app's storage or uninstall it.

Because LoopStream provides no user account and Tech With M does not maintain a server-side user database for the app, there is no LoopStream account or developer-held media library to delete.

8. Security

LoopStream uses platform security features including Android Keystore, encrypted RTMPS transport, app-private storage, and disabled Android backups for app data. No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure, so you should keep stream keys private and reset a key immediately if you believe it has been exposed.

9. Children's privacy

LoopStream is not directed to children under 13. Users are responsible for meeting the age, account, content, and live-streaming requirements of YouTube or Twitch and for complying with the selected platform's rules.

10. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when LoopStream's functionality or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when an update is published. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law or platform policy.
